1. How to use Replya

Step 1: Browse LinkedIn

Find a post you want to engage with. Open the native comment box to reveal the blue Replya Sparkle button.

Step 2: Generate Suggestions

Click the sparkle button. A modal will appear where you can adjust your tone (e.g., professional, witty) and length. Replya will instantly generate 5 contextual suggestions based on the post and your selected tone.

Step 3: Review & Apply

Read through the options, pick your favorite, and click 'Apply'. The comment will be injected into your comment box, ready for you to manually tweak or post directly.

2. Having issues? (Fixing the layout)

LinkedIn frequently updates its website. If you ever notice that the Replya Sparkle button is missing, or the AI seems to be missing the author's name or post context, it's likely because the DOM elements have changed.

You don't have to wait for an extension update! You can map the fields manually to resolve this instantly.

Step-by-step Field Mapping

  1. Right-click on the LinkedIn post and choose Inspect to open Developer Tools.
  2. Identify the unique CSS classes or identifiers for:
    • Icon Container: Where the Replya button should be injected (usually near the comment box action buttons).
    • Post Content: The wrapper holding the text of the feed post.
    • Author Name: The element wrapping the name of the person who posted.
  3. Click the Replya Extension icon in your Chrome toolbar.
  4. Click on the Having Issues? link located in the menu.
  5. Enter your newly discovered CSS Selectors into the respective text fields and hit Save.
